Privacy Policy for Focus Observer Browser Bridge

Focus Observer Browser Bridge is a companion Chrome extension for the Focus Observer desktop application.

Data Collected

During an active Focus Observer session, the extension reads the currently active Chrome tab URL and page title. It extracts the domain from the URL and sends the following data to the local Focus Observer desktop application running on the same device:

• active tab URL
• active tab domain
• active tab title
• event timestamp
• browser window ID
• browser tab ID

Purpose of Data Use

This data is used only to calculate time spent on domains during focus sessions and to display the current active site inside the Focus Observer desktop application.

Data Sharing

The extension does not sell user data. The extension does not send browser data to external websites, advertising networks, analytics services, or third-party services.

The extension sends browser activity data only to the local Focus Observer desktop application at: http://127.0.0.1:8765/browser-event

Data Storage

The extension itself does not store browsing history or user data. Any session reports or analytics are handled by the Focus Observer desktop application.

Remote Code

The extension does not use remote code. It does not download or execute JavaScript or WebAssembly from remote servers.

Website Content

The extension does not read page content, form fields, messages, passwords, cookies, or authentication data.
